About & values

Science, made into tools that work offline.

SciNTech takes established science and turns it into useful tools that do their work on your phone, without a connection. Below are the priorities we hold to when a decision is close — stated plainly, so you can check each one against what the apps actually do.

Five values

Real technique, not decoration

Each app aims established methods at one practical problem, and names them.

  • Watermark Remover. It estimates the mark from its many repeats across two or more of your photos, then, where the mark hid the picture completely, MI-GAN — a small model that runs on the phone — fills in from the surroundings.
  • Seamless Video Looper. NeuFlow v2 optical flow and RIFE frame interpolation help the seam bend less where the phone supports them, and OpenCV’s ORB feature matching confirms a loop point closes.

Offline, and free at the core

The core work of every app happens on the phone, with no connection needed, and the core features are free.

  • Watermark Remover. Learning and removing the mark run on the phone and need no connection. The current Google Play release is free.
  • Seamless Video Looper. Loop search, blending and rendering run on the phone. The current Google Play release is free.

Nothing wasted, nothing forced

Each app checks what the phone can actually do and sets its defaults from that, not from a guess.

  • Watermark Remover. A hardware check picks the fastest removal engine the phone supports.
  • Seamless Video Looper. A Hardware Test checks memory, decoding and the optional motion methods; an option the phone can’t run well isn’t offered.

Honest about what won’t work

Each app says where it fails instead of only showing its best angle.

  • Watermark Remover. It needs two or more photos with the same mark, and a single standalone logo is not something it reliably removes: one copy leaves nothing to compare. Where a mark hid the picture completely, what is filled in is a reconstruction, not the original.
  • Seamless Video Looper. Fast crossings, occlusion and big camera moves can leave a visible seam no matter which candidate you pick.

Predictable, and yours to adjust

What leaves the phone is described in each app’s privacy page, and every report is a switch in Settings.

  • Watermark Remover. Crash and out-of-memory reports, Hardware Test results and the self-test (run once per install and after some updates) are each a switch in Settings; which ones start switched on is stated in the app’s privacy page.
  • Seamless Video Looper. Crash sharing, Hardware Test reporting and render-failure reporting are each a switch in Settings.
How we work

Measured, not claimed.

Every factual sentence on this site maps to a record: a line of the app’s code, a release note, or a measurement we ran. Claims that were checked and turned out false are kept on the record as rejected, not quietly dropped.

  • Watermark Remover’s example gallery scores each result against the true clean image over the whole frame, including the cases where the app declines or does damage: see the measured examples.
  • Seamless Video Looper keeps a claims ledger with the status and evidence of each statement on its pages.

Feedback

Feedback goes through the app’s Settings → Send feedback, which attaches the facts we need to find the problem. You can review what is sent before sending it.
